DaDa Bar | San Francisco, CA

DaDa bar in downtown San Francisco is located just two blocks from Union Square in the historic Mechanics Institute Building. This is the fourth bar we have designed for this client. To transform the space (which was formerly a bank), we first exposed and refinished the wood paneling and columns to their former glory. Next, we worked with a palette of materials that were minimal yet eclectic, in keeping with the DaDa theme of the bar. The result is a lofty and expansive space that still maintains a warm and intimate feel. Studio J Architects acted as the local architect and handled all of the permit and site construction issues.
